Meet Shawn Arpaio, Owner and Founder of Abilities First, LLC.

Shawn graduated from Kean University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Criminal Justice. Shawn has held many relative positions which culminated in the decision to open Abilities First in 2019.

Shawn also has a son on the Autism Spectrum and has first hand understanding of the unique challenges parents face, especially navigating services for their loved ones.

Shawn has worked as a Job Coach for Adults with Developmental Disabilities, a Counselor for young adults at The Edison Job Corps Academy, a Care Manager for the CMO for Children with Developmental Disabilities on the children’s side and as Support Coordinator for many years. Shawn brings a wealth of knowledge about DDD services and the dedication, compassion and resourcefulness needed to help others achieve their goals.
